27 Aug Raw Taekwondo Race Night
Raw Taekwondo race night
On Saturday 26 August we enjoyed our annual fundraiser, Race Night in the Knights club in Moodiesburn. The evenings entertainment was hosted by Peter of Red Box who put on a really fun night for everyone and kept the kids involved.
The night was a roaring success and we are really pleased with the amount we raised which will help us support our upcoming 10 September competition expenses and assist our team to take part in the Iceland training camp and competition in May 2018.
We raised a smashing £1096.55. This is the amount after paying all our costs
The races kicked off from 8pm with lots of lucky winners on the first few races. With fantastic prizes such as a bike, sweet hamper, gift vouchers for BMX at Broadwood stadium, Rock ‘n’ Rolla, Gravit8, Dinom8, Capo Landa restaurant lunch for two, Caffe C voucher, Leannes lashes, Hampton hair voucher and much, much more, the uptake to buy horses was brilliant! Between the races there were a few games including bingo to keep the kids involved and help to raise funds. The evening was rounded off by some dancing where the kids certainly outdid the grown ups in their efforts!
A winning night out for Cumbernauld’s Taekwondo club
On Behalf of Raw, we would like to say a huge thank you to all of our coaches, volunteers and members for making the club what it is. We are so proud of the welcoming atmosphere and team spirit you have all helped us to create and this was definitely evident at our club race night with loads of support from the team, family and friends.
In light of our recent break in we can not thank everyone enough who donated prizes and came along to support our event. We hope you all had a brilliant time and look forward to our next social event! Until then let’s keep up the good work.
